Phone Boot

Ocasionalmente pode ser visto um bom filme na televisão portuguesa, como foi o caso desta tarde. Phone Boot (2002), é um excelente exemplo de como com pouco mais de um cenário, uma mão cheia de personagens se consegue ter um argumento que agarra a audiência do princípio ao fim. Um dos primeiros papéis de destaque do Colin Farrel que contracena com a....voz do Kiefer Sutherland. Joel Schumacher inclui-se na minha extensa lista de excelentes realizadores pois consegue tornar diferentes histórias e ambientes em filmes imperdíveis, desde a banda desenhada (Batman Forever), à guerra (Tigerland), ao musical (Fantasma da Ópera), entre muitos outros.

No ouvido:

The Caller: Now doesn't that just torque your jaws? I love that. You know like
in the movies just as the good guy is about to kill the bad guy, he cocks his
gun. Now why didn't he have it cocked? Because that sound is scary. It's cool,
isn't it?

The Caller: You think she didn't know she was being watched.
Stu: What?
The Caller: But beautiful women always know. That false
indifference, superior air. It's just a tease. They want eyes on them. Why does
she put on her make up? Do her hair? Dress so nicely? Not for her husband which
she hardly ever sees, no, it's for somebody else to notice... I notice.
